#13 Faucets, faux, fans and hood!

Well the deck is done (for now...railings next).

Busy day up the mountain today.   The electrician is stealing Jen's scaffolding to get the fans and cans installed.  Plumber is installing the drains and faucets and pot filler.  Sheet metal crew is busy working the cook island hood.

#12 Stairs tack welded

Metal workers built the floating stairs in place.  The stairs are based on a single support mechanism to give them a more open look and feel.

They then bring them back to their shop for final welding and powder coating.  Pretty cool to see.  Check out the size of the treads!

#11 Hardwood install, counter tops part1, deck sanding part 1

Jerry the GC plays Vanna White: the new stove.
Been a week or more since the last post.  The hardwood was installed this week!!  It is reclaimed wide plank from a school house and church in Ohio.  The images show a heavy shine, but it will be more matte in the final coat.

The appliances were dropped off this week and will be installed on the 18th.  The final counter top install including the hole drilling for the sinks and pot filler will be today!!

Wet and VERY stinky

Nice color blend between the materials

Love the color variation from the old wood.  The history of this wood would be amazing to learn.

Rain drops?  Amazing patterns in natural stone

After the first sand.  Would love to replace it, but not in the budget this year
